A doula is a trained, non-medical professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to people before, during, and after childbirt.

Will a doula replace my partner?
A doula does NOT replace your partner or your birthing team! A doula supports everyone involved. We help partners feel confident, and supported in their role and offer guidance to ensure everyone is working together as a team.

Do doulas support epidurals or c-sections?
Yes! As a doula, we support all of your birth choices, not specific “type” of birth.

Whats the difference between a midwife and a doula?
A midwife provides medical care. They focus on the clinical side of things like vitals, monitoring labor, and delivering the baby. A doula is here to provide emotional, physical, and informational support. We offer comfort measures, breathing techniques, and reassurance.

What are some benefits of having a doula?
Research shows that having a doula offers many benefits. Some of those benefits include; Shorter labor, reduced need for intervention, higher satisfaction with the birth experience, lower c-section rate, etc.
